Al-Watan [Qatar]
Al Watan was the first newspaper to be launched in Qatar after the Emir, HH Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, abolished decades-old press censorship. The daily consists of several sections, of which the main ones are:
- Al Watan: The main section
- Al Watan Wal Mowaten: Local news
- Al Watan Areyadeya: Sports news
- Al Watan Al Iktisadeya: Business and financial news, and
- Munawa’at Al Watan: Entertainment news and features.
In addition, Al Watan also publishes regularly, special supplements on a variety of subjects. Al Watan can also be accessed worldwide on its website.
